About Mia Knepper

I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Seoul, Korea, a place where tradition and modernity dance together in every corner. Life was never simple, but it was always full. While working full-time, I also juggled the roles of a full-time college student, a devoted wife, and a mother to two incredible boys. Those years were a whirlwind of lectures, deadlines, work meetings, and bedtime stories, but they shaped me into someone who could thrive under pressure and love fiercely. Eventually, my path led me to the Washington D.C. area, where I dedicated 20 years of service to a federal agency. It was a career filled with purpose and responsibility, and I took pride in contributing to something larger than myself. This year, I made the decision to accept early retirement—not because I was done, but because I wanted to make space for younger professionals to grow and thrive. It felt right to pass the torch. Shortly after retiring, I made another life-changing decision: I moved to Austin, Texas. Both of my sons now call this city home. My older son lives in South Austin with his wife, eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child. My younger son is settled in North Austin, carving out his own path. Being close to them brings me immense joy and a sense of peace I hadn’t known before. Now, I’m embracing a new chapter—one filled with freedom, exploration, and connection. I spend my days participating in local events, volunteering, making new friends, hiking the beautiful trails, practicing at the driving range, and taking road trips to discover hidden gems across Texas. Every day feels like a gift, and I truly love living in Austin. This city, with its warm spirit and endless possibilities, has welcomed me with open arms. And as I continue to grow, learn, and give back, I know that the best is still ahead.
